I’ve had James work on my F-550 7.3 power stroke twice now, the first time when I bought it and the second time was rear brake replacement. He’s been nothing but professional along with his staff every time.

The communication is excellent when diagnosing problems and the fixes have been excellent quality craftsmanship using the best quality parts.

I’ll continue to use him for any future mechanic work I need done.

I hired Robert at Bowers Diesel and Auto Repair for a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I wanted to buy. The car was located far enough from where I lived that I couldn't ask my mechanic to look at it nor did I know anyone in the area. I called around to many places and they were all very busy and booked up. Some didn't return my call. While a couple other shops also offered to fit me in a couple days later, I decided to go with Robert for the inspection as he was not only kind on the phone, but took the time to offer me advice prior to me even bringing the car to him. He said his shop was also very busy, however he was able to fit me in the same day I had been offered by the other mechanics.

Because I was out of town, the auto dealer agreed to bring the vehicle to the shop for me. Robert called me first and let me know it had arrived and his initial impressions and that he would call me back after the inspection. He treated me like I had been a customer of his for many years or had been a friend of the family.

He gave me very good information about the vehicle, what his recommendations were for upcoming maintenance and repairs, went over the carfax VIN report, and allowed me to ask him questions which ultimately helped me to make up my mind. I am very glad I chose him for the inspection as his guidance helped put me at ease about my decision to purchase the vehicle and gave me confidence to proceed with negotiations for the sale.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop or enlist their services again.

Edit: I forgot to mention that what I was charged for the inspection was extremely reasonable and more like the price I would have perhaps paid with the mechanic I have been with for many years rather than at a place I had never been to before. I am very grateful. Thank you to Robert at Bowers!

I've known James Bowers, the owner, for about a decade. He is a hard working, honest mechanic and a great guy. James helped me with many van and pickup issues, including a transmission rebuild, head rebuild, and recently a complete engine overhaul.

I recommend James he is an honest person. He fixed my Jetta and had back to me the day he said he would. I did have to go back a heard a noise after a week and it was an easy fix was back on the road in 20 minutes. (My timing box was loose). Referred a friend And she was happy as well with the prices and job done in time said. (Obiviously no issues while doing the job for a timely manner). Back in March 2020 I just showed up with my hard starting 1997 Ford F-350 7.3L into James to look at. He took the time to quickly throw his scanner on it, checked the fuel for oil(most places want you to make an appointment) which I thought was awesome of him to do. He was professional, honest and courteous. Ended up dropping my truck off a few days later and let him keep it. Called me when issue was found.(4 out of 8 glow plugs were bad). Gave a very fair price on batteries, new glow plugs, relay, belt and the labor. I also have received two text messages since then just checking in on how this old truck is doing, which is really cool thing to do. I highly recommend anyone with a diesel truck to go to Bowers Diesel!! James is a stand up guy!

Fantastic place never seen a family owned business so upfront and very honest. The owner James and the mechanic explained everything in detail of what was done and what other issues there were. Great work, had him run diagnostics on my old diesel just to make sure everything is running smooth. He found a few area for improvement and I am glad to listen to all his recommendations. I have a 94 Chevy with the 6.5 td that had electrical gremlins and James and his staff did fantastic work with very fair prices and found out the issues and got them all fixed . They even follow up with you a few days later making sure you are satisfied and everything is working great. James and team go above and beyond for their customers. I had an issue with a sensor that just happens to be just out of the warranty period even truck had less then 5k of miles on it since work was preformed. James didn’t think it was fair and took care of it and only charging me a small amount of labor for work preformed, not exactly an easy fix either. Bowers diesel and auto repair is the place to go!
